Feeling a little under the weather? ☔️
We recently posted that exercise + self care are some of the best ways to boost your immune system….but what should you actually do when you are feeling sick?
If your immune system is already working super hard than a vigorous workout or getting yourself all done up should definitely be off the schedule, as it may not be a good idea to add on any additional stress.
But grandma used to tell us “Just get up and get moving and you’ll feel better!” right? 🤷🏻♀….
… Well, she’s right on that one too. Low-intensity activity that doesn’t raise the heart rate like walking, low-intensity bike riding or some at-home yoga to offer benefits in improving recovery time and boosting your energy levels ✌🏼
And the truth is if you actually pamper yourself by taking care of your hair, skin, and nails too this movement and activity will release serotonin in the brain keeping your mind stimulated and make you feel better! 💁♀️ Even if you are feeling down, treat yourself! You deserve it 💜
