What is REIKI and how can you benefit?

This ancient Japanese method of healing uses energy to balance the body and mind, and its benefits can be felt by both Reiki practitioners and their clients. In fact, Reiki is believed to improve just about any aspect of life, from physical health to emotional well-being to stress reduction to mental clarity.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A REIKI SESSION

Come relax in a quiet setting. meditative soft music is playing in the background, while you settle in, lying or sitting on the REIKI table. You are fully Clothed. The REIKI practitioner will then begin offering REIKI through light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands placed and held in a series of locations on the head torso legs and feet.

WHAT MIGHT I EXPERIENCE?

If you never had REIKI before you might not feel anything, (that is ok and normal) however you will leave refreshed and relaxed and might even experience a good nights sleep. if you are more open and sensitive to the energy, you will experience warmth, tingles, vibrations, you might see colors in you minds eye along with mental visual pictures or experience message that come to you, lastly an over all state of well being. Everyone's experience is different and unique depending on the individual.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A SEESION?

DO NOT EXPECT a diagnosis, as that is not part of REIKI. Most practitioners suggest some after care, such as drinking water, resting and listening to your body. You will feel very refreshed or notice the evening you are a tad bit more tired than usual. This is typical after a session, it is the body's natural healing response.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I COME FOR A SESSION?

This truly depends on the client, for everyone is different

Most practitioners suggest 4 sessions over 4 days, then once a week to bi weekly to once a month. Again it is up to the clients and what they want to get out of a session.
